Conspiracy Mode Rant: Alcohol

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 16, 2008, 6:16 AM
Go and type SMIRNOFF into your phone with predictive text on.
Go on! Do it.

It's really quite creepy! And somewhat subliminal...

(for those of you who DIDN'T, it reads POISONED!)

Also, it just tastes like lemonade with cheep nasty wine. And not even Schweps lemonade. It's like cheep homebrand or Lido or something. (cept it has a 7% alcohol rating)

I've always been of the thinking that part of the enjoyment of alcohol is the taste of it.
Ya know? A nice glass of red with dinner, or a bourbon and cola with friends. Things that actually TASTE LIKE ALCOHOL!

...and people wonder why so many kids get drunk.

My holidays were incredibly busy with stupid inane nonsence, so I didn't get much time to computerize, let alone devinatart-en-ate... sigh

Yeah, software is expensive, and I know that to learn it's a lot of work, but I am willing... I think.

Thank you for your advice, and just responding in general! Best of luck with your work!

Smiles and all,

I'm using a version I copied from the school computers, but to buy it outright is about $3000 a year or something equally ridiculous.

An amateur could do it, but they'd need to read a LOT of tutorials. Maya was really painful to learn. Rewarding and powerful, but painful none the less.

I say if you wanna do something, then go for it. What've you got to loose, you know?

You are very welcome :D
I sort of wanted to know like how long something such as that takes, whether it is a really frustrating process, and is it... easy? I mean, easy in the sense that an amateur could do it without much trouble.

Also, you said you use Maya... do you use the free software that can be downloaded from the net or did you buy the software? Was it expensive? Was it worth it?

Sorry to bombard you with questions, but I thank you for your willingness to answer them! The thing is, I am interested in the art, but am unsure how to start, and something like your "lloyd the mime" seems like the kind of thing I would love to begin with, or at least work towards.

oh, and "softimage" is a very popular 3D animation software, but it also very expensive, around $3000 actually.
~webbot15:iconwebbot15: Feb 23, 2008, 3:58:42 PM
Wow... Thanks for your wonderful comment Dianne! I'm honored to be asked for advice. ^^;

What sort of 'secrets' do you want to know?
I only used maya for Lloyd the mime, and Flash more or less for the rest of them. What's softimage?

You have some great stuff here!
I am especially fond of your animations, like "Lloyd the Mime".

I was er... wondering if you would mind sharing some secrets of the "animation process"? Do you have special software? Softimage? Is there some downloadable program that this can be worked on? Etc.

I'd be honored to get some advice :D

Thanks,
Dianne
